Ursino Restaurant Brand Development

Rizco Design and Kean University’s Design Professors, Dawnmarie McDermid and Michele Kalthoff, collaborated to help develop the brand identity for Ursino, a new restaurant nestled within Kean University’s new STEM Science and Technology Building in Union, New Jersey. Ursino brings a modern twist on farm-to-table with handcrafted edibles.

The project included the development of the Ursino logo, website, social media platforms, stationery, menus, packaging, signage and custom photography. The challenge of the project was to develop a brand that married with the organic, historic and scientific-chic decor that was developed by architect, Glen Coben of Glen & Company Architecture and Design.

Ursino’s menus are both seasonal and local showcases with artisanal techniques that thrive on New Jersey’s local produce.
