The graphic design industry produces endproducts that rely heavily on natural resources like water, energy and timber. Unfortunately ecosystems can negatively be reshaped by the decisions that designers make. Fortunately, there are small changes that can make a great impact starting with how a studio operates, to how a project is designed and finally, to how a piece is produced. Designers are in the drivers seat. We conceptualize our projects and guide our clients on what types of printing and paper are used. Rizco Design believes that environmental information-sharing is critical to ensure that designers are minimizing their ecological footprint, while still maximizing quality. This resource has been developed as a simplified pool of information that clearly defines what designers can do today, tomorrow and in the future.
