Coming up with a theme for this year’s Jersey Awards was NP (no problem)!  With the constant evolution in the way we communicate, the “Short and Sweet” concept was developed.

This year’s design is a fun commentary on how the digital revolution has changed the way we communicate with each other on a daily basis. The rise in use of texting shorthand goes beyond mobile text messaging, extending to email, online, and every day jargon. In keeping up with mainstream modern culture, and seemingly shorter attention spans, a bright, bold color palette was created to make the design stand out. Using abbreviated messages such as OMG, YO!, and SUP? has proven to be an effective way to grab the viewers attention in 140 characters or less – just like your Twitter. Noah Webster is probably RIHG (Rolling In His Grave)!
